Writing in Public, Too: Day 26

\"writinginpublic\"OK, now that a couple dozen people got to see me do the tired thing yesterday… Today was better. Actually got lunch today, which was a nice plus! And I put in about 400 words during that break, always good too. I got out of work at 4:30pm. There was more to do, but it was already over an hour past my time to leave, so I left. Sometimes, you have to remember to take care of yourself if you\’re going to be any good to anyone else.
So, home by about 5, and then spent a little over an hour hanging with Susan and the kids. Then she left for a meeting, and more time with the kids (offering a confidence boost with their schoolwork, mostly) until I finished making dinner.

It was about 7:30 by the time everyone was fed. Around then, I went upstairs and did a little writing. Did some of the editing catchup on Starship 5, and got in a few pages on a story.

So, the month is coming up toward closure. I still have a bunch of words to type, if I want to make my 60k total. But it\’s certainly still doable. I think it\’s likely I will try for a similar number next month. One big question is whether I\’ll continue the daily blog or not. On the one hand, the blog has been helpful in keeping me focused and motivated. I like having some decent numbers to report. (grin) So maybe it helps me push a little harder. I could sort of do the same thing weekly, except… That lets me put off the writing until late in the week. Which encourages procrastination. Which is The Enemy. So, the daily is better in terms of accountability.

But I don\’t want to be annoying folks, either… I mean, nobody has to read this blog if they don\’t want to, but I do Facebook about it and Tweet announcing my posts. So I worry a little that some folks might be annoyed with the daily posting counts.

What\’s your take? You – sitting there reading this. Would you read another month of Writing in Public, Too? Or are you ready to say goodbye to this style of posting next month?
